When we say 'we' we mean 'her.' Katie Roe is the founder, executive director, and one-woman-show who runs Upper West Side PHX. In response to the growing demand by residents for upscale shops and restaurants, Katie started Upper West Side PHX to advocate for the community. She jokes that it all started because “she just wanted a Postino she could walk to!” In 5 years, with the help of Kristi, Amy, and community ambassadors, she has grown her following to 30,000+ local supporters, showing that there is strong interest in development in the NW Valley. Katie’s midwestern values and friendly personality, combined with her passion for creating change in the community, fuel this movement. She has lived in North Peoria for 17 years with her husband and dog. In her spare time she enjoys napping, ice skating, donuts, and bulldogs!
