Asbestos

All forms of asbestos can be sent to our local Wasco County Landfill. Here is the protocol:

• Must properly fill out ASN4 Form – a DEQ Asbestos Shipment Report Form (Click Here for Form)
  
• Fax that forms to Waste Connections (landfill owner) at Fax number: (360) 695-5091
  
• Once Waste Connections receives (and approves) that form, you will be contacted with permission to bring the asbestos to that landfill.
• You need to double-bag the Asbestos, and preferably ‘wet’ it to reduce the possibility of becoming airborne.
  
• Wasco County Landfill hours: Monday-Friday, 7 am-4 pm.

When transporting: keep products sealed in original containers if possible, and transport them in a box or tub in your trunk or in the truck bed. Follow the signage to the collection area. Thank you!
