P In the Name of the Father, and the Son, + and the Holy Spirit. Amen

P Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another:

Merciful God...

C We can resist all things, except temptation. We saturate our senses in search of comfort and pleasure.

We attempt to rule our small kingdoms and control what should be shared with others.

We seek the recognition of others for our sense of worth but you are the source of our true value.

Forgive us for what we name, save us from what we hide.

(Pause for reflection)

P Friends, by the grace of God, you and I have been forgiven of our sins and invited to a renewed life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
