There are endless miles of trails in the area to explore. Gentle, well-trodden paths for an easy stroll with youngsters. Hard-charging trails that make quads burn. Long multi-day routes. There are trails for all abilities. A couple of favorites:
Station Creek Trail - 2+ miles climb through forest to viewpoints of the valley looking south and east
Julie Creek Trail - 6+ miles following the Deadwood River and Deadwood Ridge
Moon Dipper Hot Springs - 4+ miles of moderate trail
Find more trail options in the Emmett Ranger District on the Forest Service website. Or pick up a copy of The Hiker's Guide to Greater Boise at the library or your local bookshop. The Ranch has a few copies that can be checked out as well.
