Did you know 1 in 6 kids in America don't know where their next meal is coming from? The Salvation Army Food Pantry gives available food items to families in need all over Tazwell County. Local retailers and food establishments often provide canned goods, fresh produce, and bakery products. Midwest Food Bank also provides us with bread and a load of food once a month. Along with the food bank, we rely on donations from the public to keep our shelves stocked with nutritious meal items suitable for family meals. Our food pantry operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 am at our building on Derby St. Currently we are serving 100-150 families a month through our food pantry.
