Abuse

Both emotional and physical abuse is real. Physical abuse is often more easy to identify. Any behavior that is designed to control and subjugate another human being is abuse. This control comes through the use of fear, humiliation, intimidation, guilt, coercion, or manipulation. Emotional abuse may include verbal insults, threats, put-downs, constant criticism, or subtler tactics such as frequently voiced disapproval. There is no excuse or the acceptable motivation for abusive behavior physical or emotional.
