At Great River, we honor the many personal choices people make around end-of-life care. For those who choose cremation, natural organic reduction (human composting), or alkaline hydrolysis, we offer thoughtful burial and scattering options for the remains. To help protect the natural balance of our land, we do ask that an amendment be added to the remains before placement—this helps neutralize the higher pH and sodium levels that can result from these processes, ensuring a healthy ecosystem for all.
